Thank you to all who have donated to the Ridgefield Food Pantry collection sponsored by the Monday night "I AM" Outreach Group. Over 225 pounds (that's over 240 items) of food and household supplies have been contributed since May.September's theme is Back to School Lunches, to highlight shelf stable items typically included in a lunch box, such as nut butters, tuna, hearty soups or stews, fruit cups, juice or milk boxes, and snacks such as pretzels, crackers, nuts, dried fruit and cookies. Certainly children come to mind when we think of packing a lunch, but many adults opt to take a sack lunch to the office to avoid the cost of eating out. The food collection will continue through October as a way of supporting local families who are struggling to make ends meet. Place donations in the designated basket in the Narthex. Volunteers will deliver the food to the Food Pantry located in Town Hall. Thank you for your generosity!
